It’s Never Too Late

I hate my brain sometimes.

Some days it goes, “You can do this, you’re going to make it if you try hard enough!” and other days it goes, “Why are you even trying this anymore, it’s so pointless.  You’re too old to be trying to do something that’s a pipe dream, just give up and save yourself a lot of stress, tears, and disappointment”

It’s never too late.

Because no matter how late you start, and how long it takes, there’s always someone else doing the same.  There’s always someone trying, and fighting, and pushing themselves to where they want to be.  People may tell them these things, but they push them aside because they know they can make it, they will make it if they work at it hard enough, long enough, and passionately enough.
If that can be anyone, then why can’t it be you?

When your brain tells you to give up, tell it to shut up.  It’s never too late:  No matter how old you are, or how long you’ve been working at something, hell, even how short of a time you’ve been working at something:  It’s never too late, as long as you’re trying.  As long as you’re improving, as long as you’re pushing yourself to be the best you you can be.

It’s never too late.  Don’t think that it ever will be.
